This video, posted by Jon Peters, who offers a how-to guide for art woodworking and home improvement, shows the process he uses to create a simple wood countertop. While the countertop he builds in the video does not have any advanced features, such as a sink cut-out, it provides an interesting view of the process with his explanations.
The process he uses calls for joining planks of wood with biscuits and standard wood glue. Having never seen this process before, I found it to be insightful and the finished product actually looked pretty nice, for what it was.
