There has been a lot of interest shown in the new Dekton ultracompact sintered surfacing product introduced by Cosentino back in December, so when we ran across this video showing some “performance tests” on the new material, it caught our interest. While this video, which is admittedly put out by Cosentino, is obviously meant to put the material in a good light, it does show the Dekton material being subjected to some rather harsh treatment, including having a torch put to it, scratching, spray painting and setting a hot pan on the surface. And, the material seems to hold up pretty good. But don’t take my word for it, see it for yourself, and let us know what you think.
