In a career spanning more than 20 years, Edwards has been an active participant in countless industry initiatives and associations. She has held key leadership roles with MIA, BSI, the Natural Stone Council and is currently serving on the transitional MIA+BSI Board of Directors. Her company was the first to certify under the ANSI/NSC 373 Sustainability Standard and her leadership was paramount to the creation of the Women in Stone initiative.

In a letter nominating Edwards for this award, Jennifer Sayles, Marketing Manager at TexaStone Quarries wrote of Brenda’s devotion to the industry and willingness to help and teach others about it. Brie Pfannenbecker, VP of Operations at Connecticut Stone, agreed with Brenda’s competence and positive impact on the future of the industry.

Brenda Edwards reflected on her involvement with Women in Stone and noted that she was honored to serve and bring recognition the women in the stone industry. Edwards then went on to thank MIA+BSI for making it all possible.
