Wood’s Powr-Grip To Offer Vacuum Pad with Replaceable Sealing Ring

The VPFS10T will offer an alternative to the HV11F, which uses a glued-on ring that is difficult and expensive to repair. The pliable rubber of the VPFS10T not only adheres easily to rough or textured surfaces, but also conforms to contoured surfaces. The flexible foam rubber ring slips quickly and easily into a channel between the rubber vacuum pad and its outer aluminum ring, and stays in position without the need for adhesives to hold it in place.

The VPFS10T will be available as a retrofit pad for any of the company’s below-the-hook lifter originally equipped with HV11 vacuum pads. Because of the the difference in HV11 and VPFS10T thickness, all pads on the vacuum lifter will need to be upgraded at the same time. The new vacuum pads with pliable foam rings are indispensable for lifting stone slabs or materials with surface texture, such as honed or flamed stone.
