Laser Products Announces Strategic Workforce Changes

laser-productsLaser Products Industries (LPI) announced two workforce changes that are intended to continue the company’s rapid growth and to better position it to realize future strategic initiatives.

Rich Katzmann was promoted to President, continuing to report to Dan Louis, owner and CEO. Since joining Laser Products almost one year ago as the VP of Sales and Marketing, Katzmann has lead the company into record growth, expanded its sales force and entered new markets including the recently announced partnership with Slabsmith. Trained as a Nuclear Engineer, Katzmann changed careers to co-own and manage several highly successful start-up companies.

Laser Products also announced the hiring of Brian Hall, as a software developer, reporting to Erik Louis, VP of Engineering. Hall most recently worked at Coilcraft Inc. and brings 14 years of software development experience to his new position.

“The recent growth of Laser Products has been very exciting to see,” said Dan Louis. “The skill, energy, and excitement that Rich has brought to LPI has been astonishing. Because of his efforts, we now have a solid strategic plan that will include new products, new markets, and new ventures that will be introduced over the next few years. Hiring Brian to be a key member of our product engineering group is an important step towards the realization of some of those goals.”
